The Nokia 5 and Nokia 8’s retail prices have dropped by Rs 1,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively. The price drop is effective starting today via major brick and mortar stores across the country. Incidentally, only the 3GB version of the Nokia 5 seems to have received the price cut. It is now available at just Rs 12,499 which is same as that of the 2GB variant of the smartphone. Android O is the next version of Google’s mobile platform and was officially announced even before the annual Google I/O Search giant conference held in May. Research firm Nielsen chimed in today with a survey that puts Apple as the leading handset maker in the United States whilst Android is portrayed as the top mobile operating system in the country.
